Predictive Value of Monocyte to High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Ratio (MHR) in Schizophrenia Patients with Stable Coronary Artery Disease

نویسندگان

چکیده

Aim: We aimed to investigate whether monocyte/high density lipoprotein ratio (MHR) has a predictive value in patients with schizophrenia (SP) and stable coronary artery disease (SPCAD).
Material Method: A total of 281 participants were enrolled this cross-sectional study. Of the participants, 85 (Group 1) diagnosed disease, 92 2) only schizophrenia. 104 3) control group had no disease.
 Results: MHR was highest 1 higher 2 than 3 (18.91 (13.38-23.60) vs. 13.68 (11.11-16.66) 12.50 (9.13-15.68), respectively; p

Correlation Between High-Density Lipoprotein and Monocyte Subsets in Patients with Stable Coronary Heart Disease

BACKGROUND High-density lipoprotein (HDL) consists of heterogeneous particles with a variety of structures and functions. Its role in atherosclerosis has been gradually recognized. Studies have shown dysfunction of small HDL in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD). Monocytes play an important role in atherosclerosis, which can be divided into 3 subgroups based on the expression of surfac...

Does Monocyte To High Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Ratio Predict Saphenous Vein Graft Patency In Patients With Stable Angina Pectoris?

Introduction: Circulating monocyte count is a predictive factor for new atherosclerotic plaque development. Also, there is a strong inverse relationship between high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL) and atherosclerosis. It has been shown that monocyte count/HDL ratio (MHR) is a novel inflammatory marker. We aimed to investigate the relationship between MHR and saphenous vein graft disease ...

High-density lipoprotein cholesterol, coronary artery disease, and cardiovascular mortality.

AIMS High-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol is a strong predictor of cardiovascular mortality. This work aimed to investigate whether the presence of coronary artery disease (CAD) impacts on its predictive value. METHODS AND RESULTS We studied 3141 participants (2191 males, 950 females) of the LUdwigshafen RIsk and Cardiovascular health (LURIC) study. They had a mean ± standard deviation ...

Low Density Lipoprotein-Cholesterol/High Density Lipoprotein-Cholesterol Ratio Predicts Plaque Vulnerability in Patients With Stable Angina

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES The relationship between lipid profile and coronary plaque tissue characteristics in patients with stable angina pectoris (SAP) is unclear. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between tissue characteristics and lipid profile and predictors of unstable plaques (UPs) in patients with SAP by virtual histology intravascular ultrasonography (VH-IVUS). S...

Monocyte to High-Density Lipoprotein Ratio Predicts Contrast-Induced Nephropathy in Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome.

Contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) is associated with worse prognosis in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Early identification and intervention for patients with a high risk of CIN are very important to improve clinical outcomes. Inflammation plays important role in the development of CIN in the setting of ACS. The monocyte to high-density lipoprotein ratio (MHR) is a novel inflamma...
